HASAN Activities & Programs
HASAN was founded in May 2000 primarily to facilitate communication and networking among Harvard African alumni who were scattered around the globe. However, it became clear very early on that HASAN could not limit itself to the social realm alone and that it could serve as a powerful resource for current African students at Harvard, a catalyst for raising the profile of African issues on Harvard’s campus and a facilitator of economic development activities in Africa.
Since early 2001, HASAN has embarked on several projects to realize its goals on Harvard’s campus as well as in Africa. Click here for Current Activities & Programs.
As HASAN continues to grow in numbers, and becomes more successful in implementing our initial projects, we hope to raise more funds so that we can implement our Planned Activities & Programs.
